Paraloid™ B-72 in Ethyl Acetate, 25% is a premixed acrylic resin solution used in conservation and fine art due to its lightfast, non-yellowing and reversible properties. The 25% concentration in ethyl acetate provides a versatile coating and sealing material for various substrates such as wood, stone and metal, and can be applied by brush, spray or immersion, and cured by air drying or heat.

Product Description
Material: A thermoplastic acrylic resin, specifically an ethyl methacrylate-methyl acrylate copolymer.
Solvent: Ethyl acetate.
Concentration: 25% by weight resin.
Properties: Transparent, lightfast, non-yellowing, water-repellent and resistant to many chemicals. It is also compatible with cellulose, silicone, PVC and other plastics and metals.
Reversibility: The coating can be removed by redissolving it with a solvent such as acetone or ethyl acetate.
Applications
Preservation: Widely used for the preservation of museum objects and as a reversible surface for marking.
Sealing and Coating: Applies a durable, permanently stable coating to wood, stone, metals and other materials.
Artistic Use: Can be used as a binder for pigments, in clear or pigmented coatings and for general product finishing.
Application and Curing
Application Methods: Can be applied by brush, spray gun or by immersing the object in the solution.
Curing: The coating cures by air drying or by applying heat (e.g. 30 minutes at 150°C).
