The ultra-thin, technical Japanese paper Filmoplast® R is ideal for preserving documents and newspapers from around the middle of the 19th century. It preserves the paper character of the original.
Due to its low grammage, Filmoplast® R is practically invisible.
The heat-activated adhesive of Filmoplast® R is solvent- and acid-free. It is slightly alkaline and neutralizes acids formed during the decomposition of the paper fibers in the old paper.
Filmoplast® R adheres well and has a high bending strength; the seal remains intact even with repeated folding.
Using the RT Mini Iron, Filmoplast® R can be almost invisibly repaired, for example, torn pages, notes or drawings.
Filmoplast® R can be removed again. The lamination can be dissolved in a water bath, with alcohol or heat. Please note the instructions in the technical information.
